Map reading contests involve answering questions to do with buildings and locations generally around a certain locality, in this case High Easter. Of course there is no way you would know any of the answers unless you were stood outside the building in question, so the whole event requires intelligence to work out where you need to be, fitness and speed to get there quickly, and keen eyes to spot the answers to the clues.
We had Peter Smith and Howard Grace representing the Eagle, who both put in a creditable performance for 12th place.
